Art Auckland Family Father Friends Life Modern Mother New NZ Sporting Unique

Nights in Auckland, usually on our apartment and the K Road Haka Hotel (haka is a ceremonial dance in NZ), are lit up by what locals call the Lightpath. The Lightpath is a pink bike track, but it has short poled lights that fully light up at nighttime. Bikers are not aware that that place is open 24/7. Summer has almost zilch on the K Road streets, since people would ride bikes on the gully, (a really long track route) or the Lightpath. My dad and I tried riding on the gully once, but that requires at least a gallon of Gatorade. Also above that all, the name “gully” doesn’t have the same ring to it. We rode the gully once a month until we realised that the gully was connected to pretty much every bike path in the town. After that we kind of forgot about that. But, in my dad’s own words, I am pretty sure we’ll be in a crowd this summer (for some people, winter).
