The One and Only

India #1: Scenic drive, and a peek at a traditional event

I arrived in India yesterday night. After leaving Singapore, we went on a flight with Singapore Airlines to Calcutta. We met my grandparents at Calcutta Airport. The driver, who took us to their home, chose a quite scenic way to get to the building. It was midnight, which was an advantage. The light decor was all on. I stared out the window, and observed the purple and white poles. They were lit up with marble lights. Above that, I noticed moving lights. The sky had small bits of light on with string, and they were creating a scrolling Indian flag. Even the construction sites were decorated with a red light running over the fences and tarp. Then we got home. The next morning, (today) I woke up to see that it was 6:00 AM. I brushed my teeth and did the normal stuff a guy would do. Later, we got some presents for the folks in India out of the suitcases. My grandparents (both sets), bought me some tees as well! Soon, we went down to the lobby of the building. I took some pics with the phone, sadly they are not here. We went opposite the car park, and into a small room decorated for a traditional Indian event called Puja. There are several types of Puja, one for each god of India. I took some pics of my mum, my grandmother, and grandfather. Me and my grandfather also took some pictures on a throne decoration. We had lots of fun, and I will come back with more travel diaries soon. Bye!
