A Barrel Racer’s Dream | Book Review

“A Barrel Racer’s Dream” by M.D. Ford and illustrated by Harry Aveira is a great book about fulfilling your dreams. It is on Amazon and I will be reviewing it here:

Why did I like the book?

I liked it because it was a good book about Dee and her horse Hank, and how Dee dreams of participating in a barrel racing event. Dee dreams that one day she is able to participate in such an event. The book has amazing detailing about a barrel racing event and teaches us about friendship, team work and the value of participation not just winning.

I like the twist in the story at the end as well.

It was also great seeing that Dee had a “glass half full” attitude and said that it would take a lot of practice, but she will do barrel racing in real life.

The illustrations were amazing as well!

Which characters appealed to me the most?

My favourite character was actually the rocking horse at the end of the book because personally I think it was illustrated the best.

Is this book suitable for all readers?

I think the book is suitable for ages 5 and above. Parents could read the story to younger kids as well.

Am I interested in reading more books by the same author?

I am eagerly waiting to see another book by M.D. Ford and also to read and review it here!
