Papea and Brume had just received news that the man they were looking for has been killed in a tragic accident.
As people flooded into the woods looking for sanctuary, people talked about the “Snudo boy” who got killed. Police were rounding people up in single file lines, though nobody seemed bothered about anything but escape.
Papea said goodbye to Brume, and the police and citizens all left towards the city again, wide-eyed and scared.
Papea lived at the Great Lake for 24 more years. He decided to move to Middleland, as Brume had told him the location, and circled it on Papea’s crinkled map.
When Papea approached the kingdom, he was happy to see a lot of welcoming arms, including those of the new village chief, Brume.
He lived in the company of all the villagers in Middleland until he died at the age of 78.
Brume lived on for many years too. His new role as chief was difficult, but following in his father’s footsteps, he managed to establish his rule in a proper and fair way. When Brume died, his son Axol took the throne.
Tales of Snudo were told all around Middleland. Temples and shrines were built in his honour.
The souls of Sir Edward and Karlio rotted as they stopped caring about the health of their new bodies. As their bodies starved, they slowly died without knowing.
The town of Edwawor had also since been flooded and destroyed. Everything, from the Great Lake cabin mansion to the old Edwawor castle was ruined. Edwawor’s old villagers all safely found sanctuary in the city.
Everybody was at peace.
