The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1938) | Movie Review

Based on Mark Twain’s novel, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is an amazing film showing the antics of Tom Sawyer and his best friend, Huckleberry Finn. Here’s my review:

Why did I like the movie?

It’s a very funny film, I especially like the part where Tom and Hucky attend their own funeral and say that actually, they were just playing pirates. There are numerous stories in the film, such as a cave exploration trip gone wrong, Tom making people do his job, a court case, and many more funny adventures Tom gets into! You should really watch this movie. It will cheer you up in the worst of times and make you even happier in the best of times.

I also like the parts where Tom pranks Sid.

Which character appealed to me the most?

My favourite character was Sid, because it was so funny when he was trying to act really sophisticated!

Is this movie suitable for all viewers?

I would say this movie is suitable for ages 7 and above.
