Hello! We’re back again for another OLYMPIC UPDATE!
The Olympics are getting more and more intense as the medal games are approaching for a lot of sports, but also a lot more exciting!
There are less the two weeks left in the Olympics now, which is very cool! It would be interesting to see who become the champions coming out with gold by the end of it…
In today’s update, we explore some swimming, tennis, more young golds and some unlikely outcomes…pretty exciting!
Let’s start with the swimming. In the women’s 100m breaststroke, a U.S. 17-year old swimmer called Lydia Jacoby has won gold! She’s a pretty young swimmer, but she’s actually also the first Olympic swimming champion for Alaska! That is so cool!
Another cool thing that happened is that Marketa Vondrousova, a left-hander from the Czech Republic has actually beat Naomi Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam winner and an all-round tennis champion! Now Marketa is in the quarter-finals and hopefully she gets into the semi-finals!
And that’s it for today! The post was pretty short, but hopefully you enjoyed! See you soon!
