Welcome, welcome, welcome to the second part of my Olympic Update series!
Today we’re going to be talking about the Triathlon, biking and skateboarding.
What we’ll start with is the Men’s Triathlon, that happened earlier today and was pretty exciting. Gold was won by Kristian Blummenfelt, Silver by Alex Yee and Bronze by New Zealand’s own
Hayden Wilde!
Next up we have Skateboarding. This event made Olympic history since a 13-year old, first of all, that’s crazy in itself, competed. Another reason is that the 13-year old, Momiji Nishiya, got the world’s FIRST street skateboarding Olympic GOLD MEDAL! How crazy is that?!
And finally we have the cycling gold medalist, Anna Kiesenhofer. Anna is a mathematician and amateur cyclist, but she actually won! The strategy of her choosing is this: Just don’t let them see you. She won the gold medal, and another cyclist, Annemiek van Vleuten crossed the finish line, she celebrated for “getting first place” a bit too soon. I wonder what Annemiek felt like when she found out she had actually got SECOND place instead of first!
So, that was the Olympic update for today! Hope you enjoyed, and see you soon!
