My father, who most of you will know by my last post, is the writer of blog Ulysses in Utopia and is a writer, even if you can’t tell by his inspirational, life-based blog, he is funny, sarcastic and also really likes getting fit and into shape. According to his blog he is “a writer who writes whatever the senses can capture.” He is the biggest inspiration in my life, and I love him a lot. He is the reason I discovered lots of more important things in life: self-defence (my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor does the same), learning, exercise and family. I look up to my father as an example as to what I can be 20-30 years later. My father is (by about 7 “Happy Father’s Day” cards) the best dad in the galactic!

[…] My father really likes getting into shape. He started about 6 months ago when he had a backache. My dad would watch YouTube videos on Bowflex, a fitness webpage, and do the exercises the people in the video show you. He started using Bowflex about a month ago. He also has some of their dumbbell exercise of by heart! I’m also surprised that in the past 6 months he actually hasn’t written about it in his blog! My parents say, (also mentioned in my post “Never Give Up” ) that you should do things that you may not like, as in, eating your veges, struggling to get something done, trying, or being pressurised, and it will pay off. My dad recently invented this nickname for himself called “Fitness Freak”. I really think this name is hilarious! I still am curious about why we still have the equipment from our pre-Bowflex era though… […]
